Children's Music Ministry
The Music Ministry believes that Children are important to our worship and lead us in a special way into the presence of our Lord. All of our children's choirs will have an opportunity to lead in our worship services through out the church year. In addition two major seasonal events are planned each year during Advent and in the Spring.
The choirs are staffed by loving, Christian, skilled musicians that seek God's best for our children. Membership is open anytime during the school year.
Come discover that we are all God's instruments of praise! Wednesday evening festivities begin at 6:15pm. Be ready for music, Bible stories, activities, and more! Here is a look at the line-up:
- Shepherd's Flock (age 3 by 10/1/06): These little lambs promise to be the first smile-makers in our line-up! They meet in Room 200. Their joyous hour includes Bible stories, songs, age-appropriate activities and fun. Our "pre-choir" is the first step in our choir line-up. Director is Katherine Peppiatt.
- Rainbow Pals (ages 4&5 by 10/1/06,including Kindergarten): The 4-year-old pals are next in line to dazzle their participants and viewers! They line up at 6:30pm for songs, motions, and bells in Room 202. Then at 7pm it's time for these musicians to skip over to learn about Growing in Worship (crafts and Bible lessons). Director is Alison Clarke.
- Shining Stars (grades 1&2): These famous high-stepping participants won't miss a beat when they gather in Room 201. The songs, motions, and a new focus on worship are "kid approved;" the Bible lessons are Christ-centered. Each segment lasts 30 minutes. Director is Kim Mackey.
- Kings Kids (grades 3-5): How about adding drama to our musical repertoire? These kids of the King sing to the Lord, move to the beat, and speak to all ages! A new Spring Musical is waiting in Room 205. Director is Mary Joy Nelson.
