Roy Wagner
Director of Recreation Ministries
Roy joined the Centenary team in August of 2006 as our Director of Recreation Ministries. Roy grew up near Pineville and has called Kentucky his home all of his life. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Religion. While in college he was involved with several Christian organizations serving as President of Chi Alpha Ministries and as Evangelism Director with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. He was also involved in the Wesley Foundation where he was active in Alpha as a table leader.
Upon completion of his degree he became an Assistant Director and Staff Recruiter for Springhill, a large outdoor Christian sports camp located in Evart, Michigan.
Roy has a passion for working with children, youth, and young adults, to see them changed by the message of Jesus Christ in powerfully relevant ways. Roy says his life was changed though a personal and powerful relationship with Jesus Christ and he desires the same kind of life changing relationship for others.
Roy loves recreation and wants to let Christ be known thorough the sports and recreation ministries at Centenary.
Some of his favorite things in his spare time are basketball, racquetball, playing guitar and mandolin, and snowboarding in the winter.
