There are many ways to give
...to the work of God's Kingdom at Centenary.
Which of these would be best for you?
As of way of seeing a commitment to generosity more as our lifestyle rather than an event, commitment cards will be included in each of our Sunday bulletins for the next few weeks and on a table in the foyer. You can return your completed card at the altar at any service, or place it in the box on the foyer table. You can also pick up a card in the church office anytime during the week and mail it back. We are grateful for the giving commitments that have already been received for 2008.
Many people have been asking about arrangements for giving by way of online banking or direct withdrawal from your bank account. This could be a method for ensuring God receives the "firstfruits" of your labor (Exodus 23:19), even when you have to be away from Sunday morning worship. Centenary is prepared now to help anyone set this up. If you're interested, contact our Finance Manager, Cathy Vickers, at 269-2800, ext. 224.
Another way to contribute to God's Kingdom is from sources beyond your income, such as:
- investments
- gift annuities
- property
- memorial funds
Charitable contributions in the form of appreciated securities introduce tax advantages, and Centenary facilitates these kinds of offerings regularly. Perhaps you want to consider a gift from the required minimum distribution of your retirement plan, or a planned gift that could bless future generations through Centenary. Again, contact Cathy Vickers for assistance.
All of your gifts of time, treasure, and talent, in whatever form they come, are what God uses to do what He wants done in the world. Thank you for giving to the Lord!
Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing. Malachi 3:10 [CEV]
